Why This? Why Now?
Over the past year, I have relentlessly tried to find the right words to say in order to convince the American people that we’re all in this together.
And I've been trying to find the magic words - the ones powerful enough to transcend all political affiliation, and true enough to find their way into the hearts of any American who would listen. My hope is that - if that are said in the right place, and at the right time, they could maybe make an impact. A change for the better.
Now, I have realized that I am not alone in this pursuit - nor am I alone on this mission toward peace. I have discovered there is a community of truly wonderful people who are crafting messages alongside me, and are willing to stand with me while I try to spread my own.
The ultimate goal of this project - in getting these messages out there - is to help as many people as possible realize that the political fight we must have is not between Republicans and Democrats; All of us are in this together against the billionaires, tech bros, and christian nationalists who want to keep people who they deem unworthy (namely, all of us), quiet and obedient.
Together, we will unfailingly call attention to the truth in the most careful way possible - in a way that is persuasive to those who need to hear the truth, but does not shame them or cause them to turn away.
Using universal truths and appeals to empathy and compassion in the human heart (not emotional manipulation, but recognition of truth), we will help the people around us lift the veil from their eyes that they never agreed to wear in the first place.
I wholeheartedly believe that most Democrats and Republicans are proud to be Americans - - We are, after all, The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave - and that’s pretty damn honorable. And I just refuse to let the technocrats take that legacy from us - - And I believe you are here now because you feel the same way.
P.S.: This is me giving you all permission to check me if I every stray from this commitment. Please. I mean it. Thank you.
